About the fall and faint clinic

Fainting is a brief loss of consciousness that is the result of the brain not getting enough blood and oxygen. Fainting is very common, and while most people do not experience long term consequences of isolated events, episodes can result in injury, unwanted lifestyle changes, stress, and anxiety.

Patients who have a history of heart disease, who have fainted while exercising, who have fallen after fainting, or who have recurrent spells should be evaluated promptly. The Vertex Faint and Fall Clinic provides comprehensive evaluation and early treatment with a goal to restore a normal lifestyle and avoid severe consequences of fainting.

Our approach to care

We schedule new patients within 48 hours for evaluation, and we complete a personalized set of diagnostic tests as quickly as possible in order to provide an accurate diagnosis leading to a treatment plan.
