The cardiac evaluation developed by Vertex physicians is backed by rigorous science is evidence-based. Despite this, some insurance companies consider some of these tests “experimental.” Because traditional health insurance often considers wellness outside coverage, some of the tests ordered will require out of pocket payment. We will notify you of tests that are not covered by insurance, and you will have sole discretion on whether or not to complete these studies. We understand sensitivity to healthcare costs, and we encourage our patients to only undergo evaluation that is in keeping with their budget and health goals.
